IST SCAFFOLD SUPERVISOR LEVEL 2

This programme is aimed at those who have senior supervisor or management responsibility for the health safety welfare and environment requirements created by scaffolding operations e.g. Project Supervisors, Managers, Business owners and clients.

Objectives

This programme will provide the candidate with the knowledge and skills to enable them to liaise with the client and other trades, supervise, monitor and direct scaffolders during scaffolding operations. They will understand international requirements and industry best practice.

Progression

The IST Supervisor Level 2 card will be valid for 3 years. Cards are renewable upon completion of the 2-day IST Supervisors Level 2 refresher programme.

• International Standards (BS/EN, local) for materials
• Materials and component identification and selection used in complex structures
• International best practice for safe erection and dismantling of scaffolding
• Manufacturers Instruction manual/user guide (Systems)
• Systems scaffold overview
• Understanding complex Scaffold designs/drawings
• How to complete a complex Scaffold Inspection
• How to complete a complex Scaffold Inspection report
• Initial complex Scaffold Inspection
• Final assessment complex Scaffold Inspection
• Complete Inspection report
• Complex Scaffold Inspection Knowledge Test (80% to pass)
• All elements must be completed satisfactorily for the candidate to pass the course.
